Mountain Men

The Mountain Men lived a very interesting life. They were rugged individualists who were crisscrossing the West in search of valuable furs. Who were these Mountain Men, how did they live and what legacy did they leave for us?

Mountain Men were often killed or died. They would be attacked by bears, fur thieves, and Native Americans. They also died of deseises. The legacy they left us was that they explored lots of the West while trapping, and that gave us a better sense of the West. They also left journals, about their adventures and different stories of what they or there friends did.

  6. The mountain men were fur trappers who went west in search of fur. They explored the areas that are now known as California and Oregon. They came across Natives, new animals,
which were harmless, but some deadly. The legacy they left behind was California and Oregon. A big legacy was their journals. Their journals contained info about their time in the west. I like Patricks comment where they laugh and cry.
